Prenuptial Contracts

A prenuptial agreement is a contract the parties enter into before marriage, in which they decide how their assets will be split should they divorce. Other issues can be pre-determined as well, including the amount and duration of spousal support, and how debts will be allocated. It’s important for couples to talk about their finances, but it is particularly important to do so if you are entering into a marriage later in life or after you have acquired assets (such as a business or real property). In that event, you should contact us to determine how best to protect your interests should your relationship end.
